Another photo from @theirc women's safe space. Unbelievably powerful. We met women with children, women with illnesses, women desperately wanting to be reunited with their family. One had a picture of her cousin at Harvard who she was desperate to reunite with. Heartbreaking. Their hope is diminished. We promised them we would tell their stories. We told them that women and men are standing up for them and for human rights by the millions all over America and around the world. As good as this refugee center is, they need to be put out of business. We need to find a way to welcome these people into our communities and stop being afraid. These are families like ours. They're struggling and have probably been through more than we will ever know.
