Please watch and support this incredible show that highlights significant moments in LGBTQ history. Our stories, our struggles, and our triumphs are often overlooked and it's wonderful that ABC is airing this program.

We've come so far in the fight for LGBTQ equality, and a series like this reminds us of the progress by honoring those civil rights pioneers who helped get us where we are today. We still have a long way to go, however, so we need to support shows like this in order to show mainstream media that we want to see LGBTQ stories portrayed on TV and in film.

As a teenager in Montana, I often felt isolated and alone; seeing a series like When We Rise would have given me so much hope, and I hope young people--and people of all ages--tune in.
