I don't get to see my parents as much I would like to.
My father, Russel Clark, 92 and my mother Dora Lou Clark, 90 have been married for 66 years.
Both are hardy products of the depression, forged stronger by the Dust Bowl and on to became part of the "Greatest Generation". I can't imagine what all the change that they have been witness must feel like. My father was born at home, without indoor plumbing. He remembers Civil War veterans matching in the Armistice Day parades.
At the University of Colorado my mother was not allowed to get a degree in chemistry because "that was not something that women did" though she was a pilot.
As my dad said to me this weekend, "there is a lot to deal with in this life, I can't imaging doing it alone" #HomeToKansas
