Cats at a dog show? Yesterday, for the first time, felines were welcomed to the @americankennelclub’s Meet the Breeds event, which is essentially a pet expo. @karstenmoran photographed Anthony Hutcherson directing his Bengal cat, Ovation, through an agility course. Cats pounced over the bubble jump (a bar sandwiched by balance-training balls), slinked through clear tunnels, hopped through hoops and mastered the mirror jump — which, as the name implies, is a bar stationed over a mirror. “Dogs would never do that mirror jump,” said the ringmaster, Vicki Shields. Bengals like Ovation tend to excel at cat agility, she said, adding, “They’re the Border collies of cats.” #??
