In the museum they had this section dedicated to the Greensboro sit-ins. The sit-ins were nonviolent protests in NC in 1960 which led to thr Woolworth department store chain to remove its policy of racial segregation. The screens they were looking at were interactive so they could learn more about how black people were treated back in those days. As my boys sat at the counter each one of them asked why weren't the kids on the screen allowed to sit there like everyone else!!! It's 2017 and I still don't have that answer! Build a bridge to our future not a wall #eachoneteachone #NMAAHC
