フィラデルフィア美術館のインスタグラム(philamuseum) - 1月9日 02時58分

#BehindTheScenes: Every two weeks, @フィラデルフィア美術館 staff carefully replace a piece of fresh fruit in gallery 170 as a part of the routine care for “Capri-Batterie” (1985) by #JosephBeuys. Beuys, who often worked with biodegradable materials, believed that art had the power to generate social change. In a humorous nod to his own beliefs, “Capri-Batterie” features a real lemon that is “plugged in” to a socket and a yellow light bulb, thus “powering” the light bulb with energy. “Capri-Batterie,” 1985, by Joseph Beuys (On loan from the collection of Isabel and Augustín Coppel)
