Celebrated #surrealist painter #YvesTanguy was born #onthisday 117 years ago. #Tanguy, who began his career with no formal training, worked on only one painting at a time due to the extreme space constraints of his Paris studio, which only had enough room for one easel. As a result, his focus was undivided, and he could become entirely consumed by a single current project.
