Happy new year 2017. “Wokera-mairi” at Yasaka shrine is the representative new year’s event in Kyoto. We bring back a fire called “Wokera-bi” from the shrine and use it for candles of a household Shinto alter or to cook some new year’s food like “Zohni” to celebrate the brand new year.
