Elkhorn coral is a critically endangered species that has vanished throughout most of its range but populations of this nearly extinct coral thrive
in this remote marine preserve located fifty miles off the southern coast of Cuba. Gardens of the Queen is a time capsule reflecting what the Caribbean looked like
decades ago. This preserve is an example of how patrols and diligent protection translate into successful conservation of an ecosystem worthy of UNESCO World Heritage Status.
