Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - The caves of the Gunung Mulu National Park in Sarawak, Borneo, contain many beautiful calcite formations such as stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones and curtains. However, on occasion a cave explorer may stumble upon a formation that is completely unique and rare, such as this ‘pom pom’. Imagine the surprise and awe when this explorer popped his head up through this hole to find this beautiful formation above his head. He was certainly very pleased to see it!
