A tiny, translucent shrimp - about half the size of a grain of rice - explores a sea anemone on Kingman Reef, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Finding and photographing a minuscule animal like this is a challenge, given that these shrimp can be difficult to see and rarely sit still, frequently jumping around and exiting my frame. Despite the effort, exploring micro worlds like this are fascinating and grant an entirely new perspective on wildlife. This little shrimp lives its entire life on the anemone; just another example of the of countless, fascinating stories in the sea.
