@Joel Sartore | Staffers at the Nashville Zoo (@nashvillezoo) work with a pair of Palawan binturongs. Also known as 'bearcats', these two were hand raised and are super friendly.
The Nashville Zoo is the first zoological facility in North America to have successfully bred this rare subspecies. To date, three litters have been born which has resulted in six offspring. The Palawan binturong inhabit the Palawan islands off the coast of the Philippines and are considerably smaller than the mainland species.
