#WalterBrackett’s Trout (1867) recently received extensive conservation treatment and preparation for an upcoming loan. The painting's old, discolored varnish needed to be removed and replaced with a new one. After weighing the importance of the treatment, our painting conservators carefully removed the old varnish and brush-applied a chemically stable and non-yellowing solvent. Now more bright and crisp, Brackett's Trout are fresh for display. #bkmconservation
