These moths fly during the day and are found in tropical South America east of the Andes, like all moths in this family they undertake massive migrations that may be unsurpassed by any other insect in the Neotropics. This picture is from an expedition to Cocha Cashu biological station in Manu National Park, Peru. Our aim was to document the amazing diversity of animals that visit a fruiting fig tree deep in the Peruvian Amazon.
