We sat and played with light, played with cameras, played with stars and a pagoda...pretty much alone in a remote corner of the planet that few westerners have visited. Beauty is just that: the experience. Beauty is sharing, extending, and immersing in life's best and worst moments. moments...when the whole of the experience is greater than sum of its parts. Beauty is friendship and creativity. Beauty is hidden everywhere...but is one of the most readily accessible experiences once we open ourselves up to it. This night, beyond the stars and colors and the prayer flags and remoteness was truly beautiful. A Buddhist pagoda under the stars in Northern Myanmar, the only and last Tibetan village en route on the 150 mile trek to basecamp. Shot on assignment for National Geographic Magazine in Myanmar covering the sea to summit exploration for South East Asia's highest point.
