???We aren’t exactly sure when Pumpkin was born, and so this year we have decided that October 3rd will forevermore be Pumpkin’s birthday. This little troublemaker has now been with us for two years and she has completely turned everything topsy turvy. Pumpkin has completely changed our lives and I can’t imagine not having her with us.
For me Pumpkin came at a time in my life where I was making a big change, I was leaving a company I had built with my best friend and life partner and to be honest I was lost. I had dreams and ideas but I didn’t have the confidence to pursue them or think that I deserved for them to become reality. Then my muse in the form of a raccoon, fell out of a tree. I had no intention and no idea that Pumpkin would garner such an immense following on social media but her platform for me now is more than just taking a photo and uploading it. Her platform is now a space where good can be done.
Pumpkin’s story isn’t complete without mentioning you all, her amazing fans. For those of you reading that have known Pumpkin’s journey, you have made these incredible two years just that, incredible. I love that our space is such a kind and loving space and it is amazing to see that our little raccoon, and two dogs are able to bring people so much joy and love.
Pumpkin’s book is now a tool for me to pay it forward to different organizations in the Bahamas. From donating to schools and using proceeds to help with spay and neuter programs here in the Bahamas. For me her book along with her social media presence is now a tool to show kindness and compassion. Toffee, Oreo, and Pumpkin are three unlikely friends and they have found love regardless.
So tomorrow Pumpkin’s book will begin its journey around our little island, across the United States, Canada, very soon the United Kingdom, and even Japan, spreading that message and I hope that the book brings you the followers the smiles that it brought my family and I to put it together. I am so proud of it and thank you for letting Pumpkin into your lives. There are so many exciting things to come! Keep messaging us, tagging us, writing us, we love hearing from you!
