What I forgot to say was - it was so tempting just to pocket this item, since it was so covetable. But if I had, every time I looked at it, it would have given me a bad feeling. So I opted for the alternative solution of carrying it's memory with me as a very solid stereo picture. People do that with people too. That's what's at the heart of the shared selfie, I think. We can't take the person with us, but we can keep a memory of the closeness of that moment, by taking away an image of 'the two of us together'. It's quite a significant piece of modern human culture, I think. That's why I like my selfie moment in the QAL shows. Let's try one tomorrow ! Bri
