The time has almost come. On September 15th, we’ll be traveling to @DeepwaterWind’s Block Island Wind Farm, America’s first offshore #wind farm located three miles off the coast of Block Island, Rhode Island. Once online, the farm’s five @GeneralElectric wind turbines will generate a combined 30 megawatts of electricity — enough to power 17,000 homes - meeting 90% of Block Island’s electrical demands.
