Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) looking out of the entrance to Conturines cave over the Dolomites in Italy. I was camping there with a team of geologists from the University of Innsbruck as part of a field campaign collecting very old flowstone samples for past climate research from this site of interest. This cave is famous for the collection of bones and skulls that are found inside from cave bears, which are now an extinct species.
