?As we get ready for a cold snap and to celebate the ❄️ Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, today's #PhotoOfTheDay is a photograph by Bruno Benini. This was taken in his studio in Melbourne, Victoria, during 1969. Model Marg Hanna wears an ostrich feather hood and a rabbit fur coat by the pioneering Melbourne-based designer Norma Tullo.

When creating the concept and look of his photo shoots, Bruno Benini was greatly assisted by his wife Hazel Benini's artistic skill and visual merchandising experience. The decorative sleigh shown in the photograph was sourced by Hazel in the ballroom of a house on Toorak Road, which she covered in patterned, light blue and light grey velvets. To give a realistic impression of snow, Hazel bought cooking salt by the pound at a grocers in Elizabeth Street, #Melbourne and scattered it over the floor.
