A Chinese proverb that I really love is "Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still." Today my daughter asked me if I could help her to make a present for her grandmothers birthday which is approaching and I asked her what she'd like to make. She decided upon a flower for which we've sewn roses in every colour of the rainbow in felt and patterned fabrics already so I suggested we try using paper instead. Just hours ago neither of us had ever tried origami before and now we have several beautiful bouquets. The beauty of life is learning, growing together and trying new things, and this was our new thing today.
