Photo by @stephenwilkes: Captured while scouting locations along the Ganges River in Varanasi, India for the next image in my series, Day to Night, this photograph was taken from the water as we approached land. The reflected light off the water subtlely filled the darker shadows, creating an interesting optical illusion--the image seems simultaneously flat and full of depth. Even while scouting to create another image, I couldn’t resist taking advantage of one of those magical moments where everything comes together.
