Photograph by Michael Yamashita - Wedded Rocks of the Ise-Shima National Park are joined by ropes of rice straw, ceremonially replaced every year by Shinto priests. The rocks form a natural shrine to two gods, Izanagi and Izanami, believed to have created Japan.
