Prized Russian jet fighters flew over Moscow today. Why? It's #VictoryDay. This day commemorates Russia's victory over Nazi forces in World War II. It's also used as an opportunity to display Russia's military might and hardware. This year, 10,000 soldiers, 130 units of military hardware and 71 aircraft (to mark the 71st anniversary of the ending of WWII) took part in the parade as President Vladimir Putin looked on. This was the first year that female soldiers took part in the Red Square march.
