I knew going into filming for @60minsports that being vulnerable and authentic was important for me. There were times I felt fearfully overwhelmed with the thought of sharing some of the hardest parts of my life with the world (the @showtime world that is) and I'm proud to say I did it! I crawled into the ocean, AND I talked candidly about my Brothers death. That was really hard. And now I am overwhelmed in the most amazing way by the love and support I've gotten from so many that watched and have now shared their stories (in more emails than I can count) of overcoming their personal hardships. From cancer to paralysis, inspiring people to keep moving forward....THIS is my "WHY". So from the bottom of my freshly exposed heart I want to thank these wonderful people for helping me do just that. ~ Alan Goldberg the producer, @jeffglor the correspondent and @timothyec the associate producer~ thank you for doing my story justice and honoring me with something I will have and get to share forever.
