Photo by @andywcoleman //The Borneo elephant, often referred to as the pygmy elephant, is much smaller than its African counterparts but still manages to eat 300 pounds of food and drink over 40 gallons of water a day. We were lucky to be able to see a large herd of these amazing creatures on the banks of the Kinabatangan River. They spent the entire afternoon pulling up long grasses and eating them before heading over to the river for a drink. #NatGeoLodges #sukaurainforestlodge
