@ニューヨーク近代美術館 is apparently shuttering its Architecture and Design Galleries. Which I have mixed feeling about - it's bit sad since this guy above to be inducted to it (thanks to @Kidrobot and @tristaneaton) and being a tiny part of the permanent collection for me was one of my surprise career highlights, but I also agree that (I am quoting) "In theory, merging architecture and design with the museum’s collection at large could turn out to be a good thing. Architecture and design don’t exist in a vacuum. They are inextricably linked to the world in which they’re created, and are perhaps the most telling representation of what’s happening in culture at any given moment." Which I totally agree. Still, seeing this dude in the shelf above Apple II was totally amazing.
