#Whiskycountry is nothing if not traditional. Folk here foster their traditions, nurse them through their infancy, cherish them in their dotage, enshrine them for the ages. I should not have been surprised then last year when I was tagging along on the annual march of the Loach Highlanders through the hills of Strathdon when I spied someone familiar. You see, more than twenty year ago I had been right here on my first trip to #Scotland, walking along with these pike-laden clansmen as they marched from country house to country house where they toasted with a wee dram to their good fortune and ancient #traditions. (A few toasts and they were a very jolly bunch.) Along the way they stopped for a break along the road and I shot this picture: a flask of #whisky being passed about, a wee nip and laughter all around. Fast forward two decades to last summer, same stop along the road, same #Highlanders, same flask, same wee nip, same laughter. Amazingly they remembered me from 20 years ago!
