Happy birthday to British #PopArt pioneer #RichardHamilton, seen here at the opening of the #MarcelDuchamp retrospective in 1973 with our late director, Anne d'Harnoncourt. This picture will be on view in the @フィラデルフィア美術館 Library and Archives installation "Do It Yourself: Participatory Art in the 1960s & 1970s," now on view. The installation features books and ephemera that explore ways in which Pop artists invited viewers to take an active role in the creative process.
