Photo by @edkashi/@viiphoto: Nana Acheampong and some of his family process #cocoa on their farm in Bonsaaso, #Ghana on Oct. 3, 2015. In 2011 the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture released a study showing that, as global temperatures rise and rainfall in Ghana decreases due to #climatechange, it will eventually be too hot to produce cocoa in Ghana. This part of the world produces roughly two thirds of the world’s cocoa and as the planet warms, it will become increasingly difficult for farmers like Nana to grow this valuable crop. @everydayclimatechange #globalwarming #agriculture
