This particular picture is my favorite thing to show someone when you can't explain what skateboarding feels like. To me it just hits everything perfectly. You're going fast with your friends, all of you have your own unique style that expresses your personalities, and you're out late at night fucking around when everyone else is asleep. There isn't much that's better than that. This photo also holds a special place for me, because the dude in the front is my friend Michael Tubbs. Michael suffered a severe brain injury from bombing this exact same garage on a different night about a year after this photo was taken. He was nearly dead in the helicopter that took him to the hospital and he ended up having part of his brain removed as a result of the swelling. Thankfully, Michael recovered and lives a pretty normal life today, minus the skateboarding. His injury left him unable to move his feet in a way that let him skate, so in a matter of seconds it went from something that he did every day and lived for to something that he can never do again. It just serves as a reminder to never take this shit for granted. ?:@priceyhot #ShootAllSkaters
