During The Prince of Wales’s visit to Stoke-on-Trent today, HRH saw how the restoration of the Wedgwood Institute is progressing. Built in 1863, the Victorian building was the centre of education for local working people before closing in 2008 and falling derelict. The Prince’s Regeneration Trust took on the restoration project and in September 2015, the first phase of the renovation was complete. The Institute will serve as a creative and vibrant centre for enterprise, employment and training.
