This type of harp, known as a clarsach, has been played in #Ireland and #Scotland for over 1,000 years. One of the three oldest surviving clarsachs, this example from the Western Highlands dates from about 1450 and was passed down through many generations of an aristocratic Scottish family. The clarsach has been the traditional symbol of Ireland for hundreds of years. Today it appears on Irish euro coins and is famously the logo of the Irish beer @Guinness
