Progress? Things like this are complicated though. Many extremely skinny girls are just as healthy as me, if not healthier, just as many "plus size" girls are similarly healthy. Banning thin models that are following unhealthy habits doesn't change how advertisers cast, they'll just cast naturally extremely skinny girls. Which means the images we see in the media won't change, which won't change how girls across the world view their bodies. But this seems like a step in the right direction, especially in the Parisian market, which is known for it's routine casting of incredibly, unbelievably thin girls. Something about this though, seems off to me. Like, banning a troubled girl from her desired profession isn't necessarily the best way to help her. Thoughts?
