When visiting the New Museum, don’t miss one of our building’s most eccentric spaces: the Shaft Gallery. 5 x 8 feet, and 35 feet tall, the space is located off a landing of the staircase that runs 50 feet upward along the building’s north side. It was formed from found footage in the structural shift between the third and fourth floors, and site-specific installations are commissioned to occupy the space. ?: Benoit Pailley
