Yesterday, I posted an image of construction in Astana, Kazakhstan’s futuristic capital city. Here, the impressive Golden Towers of New Astana peer down on a near empty boardwalk at the end of Nurzhol Blvd. In the daylight hours, New Astana - with its ultra modern development and grand plazas - often seems devoid of life.
