For thanksgiving we rescue dogs and search for foster families and train with behavior specialists and feed puppies and find out some are sick and some have worms and some are scared so we go to the vet twice and our favorite veterinarian gets his finger bit off but it was only a little bit like a tiny bit and it's not the first time so we are sending him flowers and we are so very sorry. And then we bring furry babies to safe places where they won't get run over by cars or kicked by humans or dropped in kill cages and they are so fluffy and precious and little and even though we are tired and smell like sweat and dirt and yes also some poop we know it's all worth it. Then we go home and sit down and realize we didn't drink water all day so we down a gallon and some wine on the side or maybe it's some water and a gallon of wine but who's counting and we cry a little bit because there is just too much of everything but also a lot of tiny things like beating hearts that connect to our own.
So in the end no matter what
we
just
feel
