Here, a gentoo penguin meets its end in the mouth of a leopard seal. I have to remind myself that this predator prey dynamic goes on all of the time whether I am there or not and has been going on since the beginning of time. It is the foundation of the entire food chain. What doesn’t go on all of the time was having this same leopard seal try and force me a penguin by putting it on top of my head.
