Here I am checking out a Heinz Mack painting @friezemasters wearing @ティビ. Mack was one of the founders of the ZERO movement in the 1950s right after WWII, which also included Otto Piene, Yves Klein, Günter Uecker, Lucio Fontana, and Piero Manzoni among others. ZERO was all about finding "a zone of silence and of pure possibilities for a new beginning." Art should allow for anything to happen. Art should be void of colour, emotion or expression. Without galleries or contemporary art spaces, the artists of ZERO mounted one night or one day exhibitions, often held in their studios. These were accompanied by manifestos and the artists fervently cooperated and exchanged ideas.
