Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates. Finally it occurred to me and I made a promise to myself that I would love myself no matter what I looked like or what other people thought about me. I've realized you have to grow to love yourself and your body. I haven't always practiced self-love. I too have struggled with beating myself up about things that I can't change and often times social media just adds poison to the torture we afflict on ourselves. I sat down one day and said "I’m either going to love me or hate me and I chose to love myself." Then everything kinda sprung from there. Things that I thought weren’t attractive became some of my favorite things about myself. To me, beauty is about being comfortable and confident in your own skin. It's about accepting and loving who you are. The most powerful relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself because it's not anyone's job to like you but yours.
