A grom surf trip to Nicaragua is nothing new. But Little Wings (#ywtlittlewings) — a Surfline/YoungWiseTails collaboration, currently posted up at Nica’s most reliable beachbreak -- is more than a grom surf trip. Three, two-kid teams are filming mini-edits, under the watchful eyes and tutelage of the Coffin brothers. There is shredding. There are tubes. Giant airs are attempted, many landed. All in the name of fun, sure, but also competition — these kids wanna beat each other. And once the trip’s done, the three edits will be posted on Surfline for your voting pleasure. The winning team gets a free trip. (Plus, they get to win.) In the meantime, we’ll be posting updates from the field.
