Federico Bastiani and his son Matteo looked out their window on Via Fondazza in #Bologna, Italy. When Federico and his wife moved into their apartment in 2012, they didn’t know any of their neighbors. They felt lonely. So Federico created a closed group on Facebook just for residents of Via Fondazza and posted fliers to let his neighbors know about the group. Almost two years later, residents say that walking along #ViaFondazza no longer feels like a big-city neighborhood; it’s more like a small town, where everyone knows one another.
