There's always time for one more photo. I stopped to take this photo on a sprint back to the safety of our ship as 100 KPH winds started blasting down from the glacier behind us on South Georgia Island just north of the Antarctic circle. The winds were incredibly fierce and they seems to come out of nowhere, stopping and starting again without warning. One minute I was on a rock outcrop taking a photo of a zillion King Penguins and the next minute I was almost getting blown over. Luckily, the winds died down for just long enough for me to get a nice reflection shot (right after this, another blast of wind shot down the valley). The Katabatic winds threatened a safe zodiac ride back to the ship. I almost had to spend the night with the penguins which, truthfully, I was kinda hoping happened. Photo by @magnumji
