I started reading @arthurcbrooks’ column in @theatlantic called “How to Build A Life” during the pandemic and it quickly became something I looked forward to every week. It was all about what I’ve always cared most about: living with a life of purpose and meaning. I called him and we quickly developed a friendship. I instantly realized that if I still had The Oprah Show, I would be calling him all the time so he could contribute his knowledge to almost every topic. We had many, many conversations and we finally met last year at my tea house (pictured here) to turn those conversations and shared philosophies into our new book, Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier.
