Television’s ‘Marquee Moon’ has an opening which grabs my full attention whenever I hear it. I think it’s the greatest intro of all time. Amazingly, the remainder of the track lives up to this beguiling start and so does the entire album, one of the most startling and influential debuts ever. Thanks to Tom Verlaine for his brilliant songwriting and musicianship and for the zillions of bands he inspired along the way. RIP.
