This #MemorialDay we are using our Instagram feed to amplify the work of and share an update from the #MissionMemorialDay team: "The communication has been down due to a big storm. Last night the four veterans of the Mission Memorial Day team woke up every couple of hours to dig out their tent as a heavy snowstorm moved through camp 3 at 14,200 feet, where they have been for the past week due to the weather. More snow is expected tonight. Because of the weather delays, they will not make their planned summit on Memorial Day. However, even with the treacherous weather, cold temperatures, injuries (including what has been determined to likely be a broken rib), and change in schedule, the team remains focused on their mission and will continue climbing for their brothers and sisters. Regardless of the date they #summit, they will push on to honor the lives and sacrifice of the fallen."
