But in all seriousness, working at @CAwildlife has educated and changed me in many ways. This shit isn't "fun" - there's so much HARD work to be done, and a major lack of help (physically and financially). This poor baby elephant seal came in super emaciated. Here, Matt is teaching me the tubing process, where they first check breathing for any respiratory issues before tube feeding, in order to get their weight back to normal, and then releasing them back into their natural habitat. This little guy has been having a tough time eating fish on his own, but is well on his way to recovery! #cawildlifecenter
