To commemorate #EarthDay we'll be highlighting some of our incredible #nonprofit partners, starting with The @ConservationAlliance. #OspreyPacks is a proud member of The Conservation Alliance, an organization committed to protecting and restoring America’s #wild places. As part of their winter 2015 funding cycle, The #ConservationAlliance recently contributed $800,000 to 24 organizations in the USA, Canada and Mexico. The Conservation Alliance is a group of #outdoorindustry companies that disburses its collective annual membership dues to grassroots #environmental organizations. #TheConservationAlliance directs funding to community-based campaigns focused on protecting threatened #wildhabitats, preferably where #outdoor enthusiasts recreate. Since its inception in 1989, the Alliance has contributed close to $13 million to grassroots #conservation groups throughout North America. The results of The Conservation Alliance's funding efforts have been remarkable: Alliance funding has helped save more than 42 million acres of #wildlands; protect 2,825 miles of #rivers; stop or remove 26 dams; designate five marine reserves; and purchase nine #climbing areas.
