Such a trying 24 hours But my wife and I decided to go ahead with my birthday party. It was a sad party at first with lots of big tears and hugs. The kids took the loss of Pierre pretty hard. In the end it showed that Love and Friends and Family can fix anything. I am so thankful to have 4 beautiful, smart and Amazing kids(adults now) I am also so lucky to have a wife that stands side by side with me every step of the way. Today also marks 15 years sober for me. I would be lying if I said I hadn't thought about drinking(especially last night) but I didn't. It's my gift to myself and my family.
