@Camilleseaman takeover continues today in the Arctic. Here in Greenland dogs are an essential part of survival. The longest road in the entire country is just twenty miles long and leads to the ice cap( built by Volkswagen to test their cars) in times before Climate Change sea ice in winter became the highway but now it's not always reliable or safe. In summer boats replace sleds and dogs are left to wait for the winter to return. Greenlandic dogs are unlike most other breeds perhaps closer to their wolf cousins.
